Who we are
Kanonu Events is an event ticketing and fundraising platform operated by Kanonu Solutions LLC ("Kanonu," "we," "us"). We provide registration pages, payment processing, digital passes, check-in, and reporting tools to organizations ("organizers") running events, and we process information about the people who register for or attend those events ("attendees").
Information we collect
- Organizer information: name, organization, email, and details you provide when you contact us or set up an event.
- Attendee information: name, email, and phone number provided at checkout, along with the items purchased and your pass status.
- Payment information: card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe. Kanonu does not collect or store full card numbers; Stripe handles that directly and securely.
- Technical information: basic, privacy-respecting usage data needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To process registrations and payments, issue passes, and admit guests at check-in.
- To send confirmations, passes, and event-related updates to attendees.
- To give organizers dashboards, reports, and the ability to contact their own attendees about the event.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform, and to comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
- With the organizer whose event you registered for — they receive your registration details to run the event.
- With service providers who power the platform, including Stripe (payments) and our email-delivery provider. These providers handle data on our behalf.
- For legal reasons if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
We do not sell personal information.
Payment security
All payments are processed by Stripe over encrypted connections. Card data never touches Kanonu's servers. Every price, hold, and admission decision is made server-side, so a modified app or browser cannot alter what is charged.
Data retention
We keep event and order records for as long as needed to provide the service to organizers, meet financial and legal recordkeeping requirements, and resolve disputes. Organizers may request reasonable deletion of event data they control.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and recordkeeping limits. Attendees can also contact the organizer of their event directly. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Children
The platform is intended for use by adults registering for events. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
